This is our Philippine International Literary Festival (PILF), the landmark project of the National Book Development Board (NBDB) of the Philippines. This year’s theme is LALÁNG (likhâ): Writing in Place. Creating Your Place.

At past 2 this afternoon, I will moderate the Panel Session 2 of “Perils/Pleasures of Writing in Unofficial Tongues” featuring Waray writer Voltaire Oyzon , Hiligaynon writer and Math teacher Early Sol Gadong, and Davao rockstar historian and writer Macario Tiu.

At past 3, I’ll join Davao-based Sebuwano poet and cultural worker Don Pagusara and Iloko writer and academician Junley Lazaga in the panel session “In Our Own Tongue: Literary Criticism in the Regions” to be moderated by UP-Davao professor and Waray writer Nino de Veyra.

Tomorrow, before noon, I will again moderate for the panel session “Teaching Hiligaynon and Waray Literatures” with Agnes Espano-Dimzon, Voltaire Oyzon, and Early Sol Gadong.

All sessions will be at the Sinamay Room (1&2) of Seda Hotel. For the complete program: Program – 6th PILF _DavaoCity.
