Pangga Gen @ the 6th Philippine International Literary Festival in DavaoCity
This is our Philippine International Literary Festival (PILF), the landmark project of the National Book Development Board (NBDB) of the Philippines. This year’s theme is LALÁNG (likhâ): Writing in Place. Creating Your Place.
At past 2 this afternoon, I will moderate the Panel Session 2 of “Perils/Pleasures of Writing in Unofficial Tongues” featuring Waray writer Voltaire Oyzon , Hiligaynon writer and Math teacher Early Sol Gadong, and Davao rockstar historian and writer Macario Tiu.
At past 3, I’ll join Davao-based Sebuwano poet and cultural worker Don Pagusara and Iloko writer and academician Junley Lazaga in the panel session “In Our Own Tongue: Literary Criticism in the Regions” to be moderated by UP-Davao professor and Waray writer Nino de Veyra.
Tomorrow, before noon, I will again moderate for the panel session “Teaching Hiligaynon and Waray Literatures” with Agnes Espano-Dimzon, Voltaire Oyzon, and Early Sol Gadong.
