Katuyuan kang Kahirupan nga tugroan ang mga manunulat kang higayon sa mahinumdumun nga pagtamud sa mga isyu sosyo-politikal kag pangkadunaan, kag kang pagtuytoy sa parasandigan lingwistika kang Kinaray-a. Ginasuportahan man kang Kahirupan ang katuhayán artistika kang mga manunulat, kag ang katunogan kang nagapanigdâ nga mga limug sa panulatan Kinaray-a. Ginaagda man ang mga kahirup nga magpasakup sa BPK kag gamitun ang mga higayon sa pagbalhag nga ginadara kang mga manog-organisa.
Ang Kahirupan Bantugan sa Pagsulat ginadumarahan ni Dr. Genevieve L. Asenjo, Chair kang Department of Literature kang De La Salle University. Nagalingkod man sa panel ang mga premyado nga mga manunulat nga sanday Dr. John Iremil Teodoro, Graduate Program Coordinator kang DLSU-Department of Literature kag Secretary General kang Unyon ng mga Manunulat sa Pilipinas; Noel Galon, publisher kang Kasingkasing Press; Genaro Gojo-Cruz, fakulti kang DLSU kag expert sa panulatan pangbata; Dr. Jelyn Odango-Alentajan, VP for Academic Affairs kang University of Antique; kag Jose Edison Tondares, iskolar sa pulong Kinaray-a.
MEKANIKS
1. Sumponganan ang pagbaton sa Kahirupan. Pulo (10) lang ka bilog nga kahirup ang pagabatunon. Ang mga aplikante pagapiliun suno sa ginsumite nga kasanglitan kang andang mga sinulatan, pagpaniglawas kang katuhayan artistika, kag gakup kang pulong Kinaray-a.
2. Ang Kahirupan pagahiwatun sa 23-25 Agosto 2019 sa Brgy. San Pedro, San Jose de Buenavista, Antique. Ang mapili nga kahirup may libre nga pagkaun kag iristaran, pilete para sa overland nga byahe sa sulud kang Panay Island paagto kag halin sa hiriwatan kang programa, materyales kang hanasan, kag makabaton kang Pamatuod kang Kahirupan. Ang ibang gasto pagapangabagahun kang kahirup.
3. Ang pagbaton kang aplikasyon bukas halin sa 30 Mayo 2019 kutub 15 Hulyo 2019. Ang mga aplikante nga ginbaton sa Kahirupan igaanunsyar sa 31 Hulyo 2019 paagi sa e-mail kag mga webpages kang Bantugan sa Panulatan Kinaray-a, Balay Sugidanun, kag Kasingkasing Press.
4. Para mag-aplay sa Kahirupan, ang aplikante dapat magpadara kang sulat aplikasyon nga nalakipan kang bag-o nga 4R ka bahul nga litrato kang manunulat, kag kasanglitan kang mga sinulatan nga pinakanagatiglawas kang estilo kang manunulat kag ang anang mahinumdumum nga sabat sa mga isyu sosyo-politikal kag pangkadunaan. Ang mga pananglit sa kategorya kang panulatan pangbata sarang maggamit kang ikamayad-lawas kag bisan ano sa mga pangunahun nga mga kabilinggan moral nga nagakaigo sa mga bata sa mga tuig kang pagpasad kang andang gawi. Ang sulat aplikasyon dapat mag-abay kang kumpleto nga mailing address, e-mail address, kag numero mobil/CP. 5. Tanan nga kasanglitan kang obra dapat enkoded sa bugu nga bond paper format nga may sang ka pulgada nga gilidan sa tanan nga kilid. Ang mga prosa dapat enkoded sa 1.5 espasyo samtang ang mga poema ukon proema sa tigsang ka espasyo. Darwa ka pananglit ang dapat isumite para sa mga panaysay, bugu nga sugidanun, matinugahun nga non-fiksyon, kag mga poema nga indi magkubus sa sang gatos ka linya; lima ka pananglit ang dapat isumite para sa mga poema nga kubus sa sang gatos ka linya, mga fiksyon tuháw ukon kirab, kag mga sinanto pambata; sang ka pananglit nga kapitulo kag sinopsis kang bilog nga obra kon magasumite kang nobela; sang ka pananglit kang bilog nga obra kon magasumite kang play ukon nobeleta.
The BANTUGAN SA PANULATAN KINARAY-A (BPK), a collaboration of the Department of Literature, College of Liberal Arts – De La Salle University; St. Anthony’s College; University of Antique; Kasingkasing Press; and Balay Sugidanun is pleased to offer the KAHIRUPAN BANTUGAN SA PAGSULAT (Bantugan Writing Fellowships / Kahirupan) to writers in Kinaray-a.
The program intends to give writers an opportunity for thoughtful responses to socio-political and environmental issues, and mentoring on the literary merits and linguistic standards of the Kinaray-a language. It further seeks to support artistic diversity among writers and amplify emerging voices in Kinaray-a literature. It also encourages fellows to join the BPK and maximize publication opportunities presented by the organizers.
The Kahirupan is directed by Dr. Genevieve L. Asenjo, Chair of the Department of Literature of the De La Salle University. Also on the panel are award winning writers Dr. John Iremil Teodoro, Graduate Program Coordinator of the DLSU-Department of Literature and Secretary General of the Unyon ng mga Manunulat sa Pilipinas; Noel Galon, publisher of Kasingkasing Press; Genaro Gojo-Cruz, faculty of DLSU and an expert in children’s literature; Dr. Jelyn Odango-Alentajan, VP for Academic Affairs of the University of Antique; and Jose Edison Tondares, Kinaray-a language scholar.
MECHANICS
1. Acceptance to the Kahirupan is competitive. Only ten fellows will be accepted. Applicants will be selected based on the work samples submitted, representation of diversity, and grasp of the Kinaray-a language.
2. The Kahirupan will run from 23-25 August 2019 and will be conducted at Brgy. San Pedro, San Jose de Buenavista, Antique. Fellows are entitled to a fellowship certificate; board & lodging for the duration of the program, and computed overland travel within Region 6. Other expenses will be to the account of the fellow.
3. Application is open from 30 May 2019 to 15 July 2019. Applicants accepted to the Kahirupan will be announced on 31 July 2019 via e-mail and the webpages of the Bantugan sa Panulatan Kinaray-a, Balay Sugidanun, and Kasingkasing Press.
4. To complete an application for Kahirupan, the applicant should submit an application letter with a recent 4R size photo of the writer, and work samples that best represent the writer’s style and informed response to socio-political or environmental issues. Work samples under the category of children’s literature may consider health and any of the primary moral values suitable for children in their formative years. The application letter must bear the applicants’ complete mailing address, e-mail address, and mobile number. 5. All work samples should be encoded on a short size bond paper format with one inch margin on all sides. Prose works should be encoded at 1.5 spacing while poetry or proems at single spacing. Two work samples should be submitted for essays, short stories, creative non-fiction, and poems of a hundred lines or more; five work samples should be submitted for poems of less than a hundred lines, flash fiction, and nursery rhymes; one work sample of a chapter plus a synopsis of the entire work when submitting a novel; one work sample of an entire work when submitting a play or a novelette.
